Back to News Union Win Home Opener It was a perfect day at Talen Energy Stadium even if the weather was unseasonably cold. The Philadelphia Union defeated the New England Revolution 3-0 in the club's 2016 home opener. CJ Sapong scored twice in the first half, while Sebastien Le Toux added the third late in stoppage time. The final result could have been worse as well. The Union had two penalties saved and struggled to find a third goal despite playing against 10-men New England. Still, the team is off to a flying start. At 2-1, the Union is tied for first place in MLS's Eastern Conference. The full game highlights are available here
