Overall, it may have been a trying season for the Philadelphia Union, but there's no arguing the club closed its year in style.

Not only did the Union reach the final of the US Open Cup for the second consecutive season, it beat Orlando City SC on Sunday to leave the fans at PPL Park smiling one last time in 2015. To further add to the good vibes, the Union announced early Monday that it hired former US Men's National Team star Earnie Stewart as the new Sporting Director.
