WCUSC Eagles U-15 Girls of Chester County won the Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup today after defeating Penn Legacy White by a score of 2-1 (3-1, PK). The game took place at Lehigh County Fields in Allentown.
More than 140 teams competed since March to make it to Sunday’s finals. The next stop for the team is the US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Region I Championships in Manchester, New Hampshire beginning on Friday, May 24. A victory there sends them to Auburndale, Florida for a shot at the national championship beginning Wednesday, July 10.
WCUSC Eagles secured their spot at Regionals with a 2-1 (3-1, PK) victory against the Lancaster County rivals Penn Legacy White in the Eastern Pennsylvania Presidents Cup.
The Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
