Long-time Eastern Pennsylvania ODP coach Trajano Bastidas was recently inducted into the Lehigh Valley Soccer Hall of Fame.
Bastidas' tenure as head boys coach at Catasauqua High School led to his induction.
At the ceremony, which took place Sunday, January 17th at the Northampton Community Center, Bastidas talked about his love for soccer and passing on that love.
“Soccer is a great game, and one that you can play until you’re 40 or 50 years old,” he said. “I grew up not having enough money for even cleats, but I loved to play the game and was passionate about it, and I passed that down to my sons and every player I ever coached.”
Bastidas currently coaches the U12 Boys Allentown/Reading ODP team.
Congratulations to Trajano and the rest of this year's honorees.
