The Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame is pleased to announce Kelly Rowland Connor as a member of the Class of 2016.
A three-sport athlete at Strath Haven High School (Wallingford, PA) where she captained the basketball and track & field teams, Connor made her mark on the soccer field. She was named All-Central League, All-State, and All-American for the Panthers.
Connor also represented Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer on United States Youth National Teams.
Following her standout high school career, Connor played four years at Florida State University where she set the school record for starts (96). She was named All-American as a freshman and twice made the All-ACC Second Team. In 2005, Connor was a candidate for the Hermann Trophy, which is awarded annually to the top women’s soccer player in the country.
Connor currently helps run Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program as part of her role as the association’s Business Administrator. Kelly resides in Wallingford with her husband Mike (Strath Haven, 2001) and their two children, Luke and Emily.
Previously inducted into the FC Delco Soccer Club Hall of Fame, Connor will enter the Delaware County Athletes Hall of Fame with 15 other 2016 honorees.
