Plymouth Meeting—September 7— As part of its continuing support for intramural and recreational soccer, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is proud to launch the State Coaching Certificate. The Coaching Certificate will consider the role of the coach and what it means to create a fun and safe learning environment. It is aimed at age groups under-6 to under-8.
“With new coaches entering our community every year, we want to make ourselves as available as possible. Our Coaching Education staff is a terrific resource for all coaches and players,” said Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Technical Director Mike Barr. “This coaching course will help us develop coaches throughout the state, while improving the quality of play for kids everywhere, regardless of level.”
The course will be offered in two parts. The Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Coaching Education staff will run a one-hour, on-field session for individual clubs and their coaches. Additionally, there will be a 30-minute online portion that course participants can watch at their leisure.
Everyone that attends the course and watches the presentation will receive a coaching certificate, which Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will recognize on the state level.
