Eastern Pennsylvania’s ODP teams proved to be the elite state within the region during the Region One ODP Championships at Kirkwood Delaware on June 22nd and June 23rd. Both the Boy’s U16 and U17 teams claimed Region One titles with the U17’s defeating Maryland 6-2 and the U16’s beating Virginia 2-1. The U17’s under Mike Gorni and Gino DiFlorio have not lost in regional play in the last two years. The U16’s after not qualifying last year took home the title under Greg Ramos and Will Thornton. Meanwhile the U15 Boys and U 16 Girls were finalists in Region One also. The Boy’s U15’s under Pat Lordi, lost to Maryland 3 to 1 in the finals and the U16 Girl’s under Kevin Rooney lost to New Jersey 1-0 in the finals.

 

In addition all six U13 and all four U14 teams had winning records against very strong states competing in Kirkwood that same weekend. All the boys and girls were simply amazing in their play and demeanor the entire weekend.
