In alignment with our mission to promote, foster and perpetuate the game of soccer to the region's youth, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will continue the Development Grants Program for 2020. Since the inception of the grant program, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer has given over $350,000 dollars to our member organizations.
2020 Grants will focus on the essential question of, how will the member organization use the support to grow the game? We will specifically target grassroots programs/organizations that demonstrate a need for support. The funding is intended to go primarily, but not limited to, coaching education, new equipment and equipment/facility upgrades, that help organizations comply with US Soccer’s Player Development Initiatives. The grant selection committee has the discretion to award the grants as it sees appropriate based on this mission.
The total amount to be awarded in 2020 will be approximately $50,000. This funding will be in collaboration with our partners Nike, Kwikgoal, and Angelo’s Soccer Corner.
An organization that has previously been the recipient of a grant, will be ineligible for consideration for the next three grant cycles. For-profit organizations are ineligible. The Committee reserves the right to modify eligibility for an organization deemed to be in considerable need of funding.
Grant Recipient Criteria
- Organization must be a member of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer
- Must be a recognized 501(C)(3) or Charitable Organization
- Signed letter of proof that the organization’s board has approved this project
- Application completed and submitted by the due date
- Organization must show their level of commitment to the project
- If awarded the organization must complete a performance report roughly (6) months after receiving the award.
