Positions Available

Leagues & Events Director:

Position Summary:

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Youth and Adult Soccer Leagues in addition to managing our organizational-wide special events.

Essential Functions - Leagues:

  • Membership communication and correspondence.
  • Process player and team league registrations.
  • Manage all aspects of recreation league scheduling (practices, games, playoffs).
  • Oversee Age Group Commissioners (AGC’s), assisting them as required in the execution of their responsibilities.
  • Liaise with league officials, partners, and volunteers to ensure that league operations are successful.
  • Management and recruitment of seasonal support administrators & operations staff.
  • Assist with league sponsorship efforts.
  • Manage the league uniform & trophy procurement process.
  • Recruit and manage league volunteers (coaches & AGC’s).
  • Assist the Academy Administrator in managing the volunteer coach clearance process.
  • Work on program development and assessment, as well as new program(s) development.
  • Expand the Youth Leagues geographic reach with new satellite U6-U12 leagues/programming.
  • Develop new Adult League programming.

 

Essential Functions - Special Events:

  • Manage the Special Events Committees.
  • Implement and execute an operations plan for the following club events: Dan Kennedy Golf Classic, Shoot & Score Benefit Auction, Fusion Charity 5K.
  • Recruitment & management of volunteers for special events.
  • Assist the Leadership Team with the management of club directed tournaments and membership meetings.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business admin, marketing, sports management, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of successful experience managing & building sports programs/leagues/events.
  • Excellent communicator (written and verbal).
  • Creative & innovative.
  • Collaborative and people person.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Tech Savvy: Competent in using Microsoft/Google products, communication platforms (Constant Contact), and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN). Knowledge of Gotsoccer platform preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Candidate must provide up-to-date risk management clearances to include, but not limited to: PA Child Abuse History, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal Background Check.
  • Ability to work several weekend & evening hours.
