Zonal Director of Coaching (U10-U14)

Type: Full-time


Reports to: Executive Director



This position's primary function is the technical and administrative oversight of a certain "zone" of the club's Travel/Premier program. The specific zone will be determined based on the applicant's experience, qualifications, skill set, and motivations. The zone will fall within the U10-U14 age range.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop curriculum, periodization, and competition for teams within zone
  2. Manage, evaluate, and develop coaching staff within zone
  3. Communicate effectively and proactively with players, families, and coaches within zone
  4. Provide administrative support to coaches and team managers within zone
  5. Design and implement biannual player evaluations within zone
  6. Participate in regular full-time staff meetings
  7. Communicate effectively and proactively with Executive Director, Business Manager, and other Zonal Directors
  8. Assist Executive Director with recruiting and retaining qualified staff for zone
  9. Assist in the running of club-wide events such as tournaments and fundraisers
  10. Fill 1-2 Age-Group Coordinator positions, which involve coaching one team within each age group and overseeing the others

Depending on the applicant's experience, qualifications, skill set, and motivations, other roles and responsibilities may be established by the Executive Director.


Desired Qualifications:

  • USSF B License (or United Soccer Coaches equivalent) or higher
  • Professional or college playing experience
  • At least five years' of high-level coaching experience

Position Summary:  Hershey Soccer Club (HSC) is seeking a Director of Coaching (DOC) for our travel and recreational soccer programs.   The DOC will lead efforts to achieve growth and development of the student-athletes of the club, and strive to provide coaches with the necessary tools to develop players technically and tactically.  The DOC will manage all technical aspects of HSC while adhering to and promoting the club brand.  The DOC must have a strong soccer background and technical expertise to lead HSC’s coaching staff.
