On Friday, March 18th, the Swiss Consulate of New York hosted a special reception in Philadelphia set up by Switzerland's Honorary Consul in the city, Christine Pfister.

The evening honored and welcomed three-time World Cup participant Tranquillo Barnetta. Barnetta, a Swiss international, joined the Philadelphia Union last summer.

He is arguably the club's biggest signing in its short history.

Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer CEO Chris Branscome interviewed Barnetta about his career in front of more than 100 guests.
