2020 Indoor Cup: January 25-26 Recap
Over this past weekend, the U11 - U12 boys and girls, U15, U16 and U17 girls participated in the second weekend of the 2020 Eastern Pennsylvania Indoor Cup at In the Net in Palmyra. Over 180 games were played between 114 teams and we crowned 14 champions in two days! Thank you to all the teams that participated this past weekend and the friends and families that supported them! We're looking forward to the third and final weekend of the Indoor Cup on February 1 and 2.
Below is a recap of every division with interviews of the MVP of the championship match!
U11 Boys (Elite | Challenge)
- The U11 Elite Division final came down to the wire and we needed PK’s to crown a champion. CRUSA Bucks Wolfe came out on top with MVP of the match, Elias, making the game winning save over LMSC Stealth!

U11 Girls (Elite | Challenge | Premier)
- It was truly a team victory for Lehigh Valley United in the U11 Elite Division final. Throughout the day, they won all three games by scoring 20 goals and only letting in two goals. The team was quite proud of their accomplishment!

- In the U11 Challenge Division final, Lower Mac 09 Black defeated CASA 09 Arsenal by a score of 3-1. The MVP of the match, Olivia, was a brick-wall in the net by only letting in one goal in the final and three in total for the day.

- PA Rush had one thing on their mind and that was winning the U11 Premier Division championship! They faced off against Buckingham United Blue where they won 4-1. Sydney opened the scoring for PA Rush and then added an assist to her name to take home MVP of the match.

U12 Boys (Elite | Challenge)
- The Northeast Attack went up against the high scoring LMSC Megalodons in the U12 Elite Division final. The MVP of the match, Andrew, slowed down LMSC by making all the saves goalies dream about. Northeast Attack won 2-1.

- It was a high scoring affair for Dynamo United in the U12 Challenge Division final. They defeated Penn Express Pickles 5-1. Julian of Dynamo United made crucial saves in PK’s during the semi-final to advance to the championship where he only let in one goal.

U12 Girls (Elite | Challenge)
- The U12 Elite Division final was a roller coaster of a game from lead changes to tied games. Lehigh Valley United faced off against North Union United Valor and won by a score of 2-1. MVP of the match, Karina, had the game winning goal with a few minutes left in the game!

- It took PK’s to determine the U12 Challenge Division champion and the shootout did not disappoint. Hunter SC Fusion and CSSC Lady Gunners met in the final and went back and forth the entire game. With one shooter left, Caitlin from the Lady Gunners stepped up and scored the game winning PK.

U15 Girls (Elite | Challenge)
- Penn Express FC Venom-White wanted an opportunity to become back-to-back Indoor Cup Champions and they got that this weekend. They faced BMYSA Impact in the U15 Elite Final and won 2-0 with both goals scored by Aubrey, MVP of the match.

- PK’s were a trend in the finals this year and we had yet another in the U15 Challenge Division final. LMSC Force and VE Fusion had a nail-bitter of a game that ended 2-2. They needed PK’s to crown a champion and Maya, MVP of the match, stepped up and made the game winning save!

U16 Girls (Elite | Challenge)
- Penn FC Lightning and North Union United Strikers faced off in the U16 Elite Division final in the battle of the unbeatens. It was a back and forth game until Alex from Penn FC got the ball and scored twice in a matter of minutes to secure the championship!

- The U16 Challenge Division final had a similar ending like the other finals throughout the weekend. Elite Soccer Academy defeated West End SL Sparks 2-1 in the final minutes from a goal by MVP of the match, Gianna. She was thrilled to help her team secure the win.

U17 Girls (Elite)
- North Union United Attack and ACFCSA Manchester United Newton went head to head in the U17 Elite Division final that had the likes of another PK shootout. But when Sarah from NUU Attack got the ball, she took advantage of her opportunity to score twice in the 2-0 victory!
