The tournament will feature 96 US Youth Soccer boys and girls teams in the Under-12 through Under-17 age groups, competing for a regional title. Winners from the Under-13 through Under-17 age groups will advance to the 2013 US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 10-14 in Auburndale, Fla.
The Region I Presidents Cup will begin with preliminary games on Saturday, May 25, followed by semifinal matches on May 26. Regional champions will be crowned following final matches on May 27. Games will take place at Continental Recreational Facility, Northeast Athletic Club and Rock Rimmon Park.
New Hampshire Soccer Association will host the event, and the other 14 State Associations represented include Connecticut, Delaware, Eastern New York, New York West, Eastern Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania West, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for teams seeking additional challenges to play for a national title against teams of similar abilities. The cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.
