Soccer America writes article about what shaped Mike Barr’s lifelong approach to coaching
“I love being around kids, in a competitive environment. Nothing beats that adrenaline rush.” This quote from Mike Barr encompasses what drives his love and passion for the game. Barr sat down to talk with Soccer America to discuss his relationship with the sport. Barr didn’t know much about soccer until he was 15 years old. The joy that soccer brought him, and others, immediately captivated Barr and hasn’t stopped since. Throughout the years, Barr has received a myriad of honors, such as the Charlotte Moran Youth Long-Term Service Award, Thomas Fleck, and many more. Recently, Barr won the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Coaching Excellence Award, which will now be renamed the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Mike Barr Coaching Excellence Award.
