Positions Available:

Position: One Philly Soccer Coach (Philadelphia Parks & Recreation)
Location: Philadelphia, PA 
Type: Temporary/Seasonal Employment; 3-9 months (depending on coaching in winter/spring)

Position Summary:

This Recreation Specialty Instructor (RSI) will serve as the head coach for introductory youth soccer
programs. In partnership with staff at the recreation center or playground, coaches will lead children in
recreational soccer with the goal is for every child to have fun, make friends, and develop new skills to help
them thrive
Coaches should be enthusiastic about sports and working with young people. They should be able to
effectively communicate with key stakeholders including children, parents, other coaches, and Parks & Rec
staff. They should be energetic on the field and dedicated to supporting social and emotional growth in their
players.
This role includes training in Soccer For Success, Intramural Refereeing, and Positive Youth Development.
There is the opportunity for US Soccer Grassroots Coach certification.
Coaches should have a general background in soccer with advanced experience preferred. Coaches do not
need to have coached before but must be enthusiastic about working with young people in sport. Selected
candidates will be required to demonstrate teaching/coaching ability in an interview

Position: Head Coach (Travel Soccer Program) at Pennsylvania Rush Soccer Club
Location: New Britain, PA 
Type: Part-Time (with opportunities for expanded responsibilities)

Pennsylvania Rush Soccer Club is seeking passionate, motivated, and organized Head Coaches to join our coaching staff. We are looking for individuals who are committed to developing players, creating a positive learning environment, and helping build a culture of excellence both on and off the field. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions aligned with the Rush Soccer methodology.
  • Lead travel teams during league matches, tournaments, and club events.
  • Foster a positive, player-centered environment focused on technical, tactical, physical, and personal development.
  • Maintain regular communication with players, parents, and club leadership.
  • Manage team logistics, schedules, and administrative responsibilities in a professional and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and technical staff to support player progression across all age groups.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience coaching competitive travel soccer teams.
  • Soccer coaching licenses preferred (US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, UEFA, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Passion for player development and long-term athlete growth.
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to continue learning.

Position: Youth Development Coordinator at the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s Chester Union Soccer Club
Location: Chester, PA 
Type: Part-time, 20 hours/week for 32 weeks/year 

The Philadelphia Union Foundation is seeking a passionate Youth Development Coordinator (YDC) for its no-cost soccer club Chester Union. The YDC will connect the community, club and foundation.  This part-time role (20 hours/week, 32 weeks/year) blends coaching, program coordination, and community engagement, while serving as Head Coach for two teams in a no-cost soccer program serving local youth. The Youth Development Coordinator will work closely with staff, volunteers, and families to create a safe, inclusive environment that uses soccer to promote teamwork, personal growth, and positive social change for underserved youth.
