Kim Maurer, Coach for 12U Girls Bucks ODP

Where did she play?Maurer,_Kim_001
Old Dominion University

How long has she been coaching?
Kim has been coaching all levels of soccer (from youth to WPSL) for 25 years.

What’s her favorite soccer moment?
Her favorite soccer moment was winning the New Jersey Group 3 state championship in 2017 and being named Coach of the Year.

What’s unique about Kim?
She wants to visit all 50 U.S. states. Currently, she’s 75% of the way toward completing her goal.

Teresa (T.) Rook, Coach for 13U Girls Lancaster/Harrisburg ODP

          James Madison University

          How long has she been coaching?
          She has been coaching for 10 years.

          What’s unique about T.?
          T. loves to travel. One of her favorite travels location is Ireland. 


Stephanie Cleaves, Coach for 13U Girls Lancaster/Harrisburg ODP

 She played on the Honduras Women’s National Team from 2010 to 2013.

 How long has she been coaching?
Stephanie has been coaching for 10 years.

What’s unique about Stephanie?
 She isn’t a soccer mom; she’s a dog mom.

Lauren Ewell, Coach for 12U Girls Montgomery ODP

Where did she play?
Lauren currently plays club soccer at Temple University.

How long has she been coaching?
She has been coaching for two years.

What’s unique about Lauren?
Lauren played ODP for six years.

Darcie Hite Saar, Coach for 14U  Girls South ODP

 Saar,_Darcie_001Where did she play?
Pennsylvania State University

What’s unique about Darcie?
In 1998, Darcie traveled to Europe to compete against the English National Team in an
exhibition match prior to the FA Charity Shield when Manchester United defeated Chelsea
FC, 4-2.

 During her time at Penn State, the Lady Lions became the first American women’s team to compete in old Wembley Stadium.  Darcie and her teammates rounded out their European Tour by defeating Millwall FC in a nationally televised match before traveling to Belgium to defeat the Dutch Select Team and to Germany to compete in the SV Hemmerden Frauenfussball Tournament.

She was also lucky enough to hold the real World Cup alongside her lifelong teammate,  Jodi Huckabee. This was during the time Darcie’s incredible ODP coach and friend, Craig Lefebrve, was the keeper of the World Cup while it was displayed throughout the U.S.

Sophie McKnight, Coach for 13U Girls Bucks ODP 

McKnight,_Sophie_003          Where did she play?
          Elizabeth College

          How long has she been coaching?
          Sophie has been coaching for three years.

          Does she coach anywhere else?
          Sophie coaches at EPYS and Haverford College located, in Haverford, PA.

What’s unique about Sophie?
She’s a massive Liverpool FC supporter and has traveled to England, UK, to see the team play at Anfield stadium.
