Ten teams from Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer are headed to the National Presidents Cup in Tampa, Fla. The tournament will run from July 11-15 at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay. Each team will compete in three group-play matches, with the group winners advancing to the semi-finals and a chance to reach the championship match in their age group.
After a strong showing at the Eastern Presidents Cup, these ten teams earned their place among the nation’s best. Here’s a closer look at the teams representing Eastern Pennsylvania on the national stage:
Steel United 11B Elite (U14 Boys)
Steel United went 4-0-1 at regionals and captured the U14 title in dramatic fashion, defeating Shenandoah Valley in PKs.
Huntingdon Valley AA Stingers 2010 (U15 Boys)
The Stingers also went 4-0-1 at regionals and cruised to a 3-0 win in the final. They’re entering nationals looking to continue to build on their momentum from regionals.
FC Montco Legends (U16 Boys)
FC Montco reached the regional final but fell just short against Beadling SC 2009. Their performance earned them a spot in Tampa, and they’re ready to bounce back on the national stage.
Keystone FC Premier 09G (U16 Girls)
Keystone FC Premier dominated regionals, winning all five of their matches. They posted four shutouts and racked up 17 goals across the tournament.
Huntingdon Valley AA HVAA Sting 2008 (U17 Boys)
The Sting scored 10 goals and picked up four wins at regionals. Despite a tough loss in the final, they qualified for nationals and are ready to rally for a shot at the championship.
Lancaster Elite Lancaster Elite FC 2008 Girls (U17 Girls)
Lancaster Elite battled through to the regional final, where they narrowly fell 2-1. They’re heading to Tampa ready to finish the job at nationals.
Vereinigung Erzgebirge SC VE Mountaineers (U18 Boys)
The Mountaineers went undefeated at regionals and edged out State College in a close final to punch their ticket to nationals.
Carlisle Area Youth Soccer Cannons 07/08G (U18 Girls)
Carlisle swept all three of their regional matches with shutout wins, outscoring opponents 11-0 on their way to nationals.
Lower Merion SC 007’s (U19 Boys)
Lower Merion SC dominated regionals with a perfect 5-0 record and a 20-1 goal differential. They head to Tampa as one of the most dangerous teams in the field.
Towamencin Youth Assn Towamencin Tornadoes (U19 Girls)
Towamencin made a deep run to the final, where they narrowly lost by one goal. Now, they’re fired up and focused on making noise at nationals.
Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is proud to be represented by these ten talented teams. Each earned their spot in Tampa through grit, determination, and standout performances — and now they’re ready to take on the best in the country.
