Erin Burke and Kaheem Bailey-Taylor were recognized as the 2023 winners of The First Lieutenant Travis Manion & Corporal Michael Crescenz Award at halftime of the Army-Navy Cup on Friday at Subaru Park.

The award is presented annually to two high school-aged soccer players, one girl and one boy, who best exemplify the spirit of two exemplary men who gave their lives in service to our country.

Burke captains the Warrington Soccer Club 2006 Strikers and plays high school soccer at Central Bucks South. She is an active volunteer in the community and is the co-founder of Next Play Sports, a high school club for student-athletes to foster positive mental health on and off the field.

Bailey-Turner is a student athlete at Philadelphia Military Academy and in January was recognized with the Medal of Heroism. He received the highest honor the U.S. Army gives JROTC following his heroic, life-saving actions after a shooting at a birthday party in Philadelphia in August 2022.
