18U/19U AND OTHER YOUTH TEAMS CLOSER TO CLAIMING REGIONAL VICTORY in 2022

Some of the younger youth soccer teams don’t have to work too hard to secure their spots in the Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup (NCS) this weekend. As the first leg of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series (NCS), many already know their competition for their upcoming semifinal and final matches later this month.

Fortunately for some of the older youth soccer teams, they have the luxury of claiming their stake in the Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup during the quarterfinal rounds on May 14 and May 15.

18U Girls, 18U Boys, and 19U Boys teams will compete this weekend for their opportunity to become Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup champions. Within each age group, eight (8) teams will have another chance at extending their season by proving their drive and determination during their respective 90-minute match.

Whether it’s the 18U Girls Steel United PA ‘04 Elite team or the 19U Boys PA Mutiny Gold Raptors ’03 team, everyone is sure to demonstrate why their program has prevailed thus far.

Here’s what some of the 18U/19U quarterfinal brackets look like so far:

18U Girls

Eagle F.C. ’04vsKeystone Athletic 2004/2005 Black
Penn FC Youth 2004 LightningvsRound A Winner (TBD)
Lehigh Valley United 2004 Girls BlackvsSteel United PA ’04 Girls Elite
Keystone FC Premier ’04vsPA Dominion FC 2004

18U Boys

Lower Merion SC InvictusvsLancaster Elite Blue Strikers
Penn Alliance Select Elite ’04vsRound B Winner (TBD)
Lehigh Valley United ’04vsPhiladelphia Ukrainian Nationals ’04 Black
Council Rock United FC Bucks Dominions ’04vsCapital Area SA CASA 2004 Elite

19U Boys

Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals ’03 BlackvsRound A Winner (TBD)
Radnor SC 2003vsPA Mutiny Gold Raptors ‘03
Capital Area SA CASA ’03vsSting PA ’03
Lehigh Valley United 2003 Blackvs    FC Revolution Sidekicks 2003/2004

Of the confirmed teams, we’re confident the Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup quarterfinals will bring some of the region’s fiercest competition this year. After all, many of the competing teams are frequent flyers when it comes to championship rounds.

For the teams who are becoming more adjusted to life in the playoff lane, they’re showing just how quickly they can persevere to reach the top.

Once the quarterfinals are determined, what can we expect for the semi-finals?

Expect stronger competition and greater determination from the athletes and coaches. With semifinals scheduled for Saturday, May 21, teams will have one week to work out any kinks and focus on getting past the semifinals.
