Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is excited to announce its collaboration with “Head in the Game” initiative. Together, Eastern Pennsylvania and “Head in the Game” will enhance coach training, with a specific focus on player mental wellness and safety.

The “Head in the Game” initiative is known for its commitment to promoting mental health awareness and providing resources to youth sports organizations. By working with “Head in the Game,” Eastern Pennsylvania will be able to expand its educational programs for coaches, equipping them with tools to recognize and address the mental health challenges faced by youth athletes both on and off the field.

“Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is proud to work with “Head in the Game” to enhance our focus on player mental wellness and safety,” said Technical Director Gary Stephenson. “By providing coaches with the tools to address mental health challenges, we are fostering a more supportive environment that will help them succeed both on and off the field.”

The training will cover topics such as stress management, creating stigma-free spaces, and empowering youth to find their inner strength and coping with daily pressures, all designed to help coaches understand the important of a healthy mindset for performance and growth.

By investing in the mental well-being of its athletes, Eastern Pennsylvania continues to lead the way in youth sports development, ensuring players not only excel on the field but also grow as healthy, balanced individuals.
