NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hershey, Pa. native Christian Pulisic scored his 28th career international goal and the United States Men’s National Team cruised to a 4-0 win over Ghana on Tuesday night.

Pulisic is now two goals behind Brian McBride for fifth on the USMNT’s all-time scoring list. Pulisic scored on Saturday in the USMNT’s 3-1 loss to Germany in Hartford, Conn. and has three goals in his last four international appearances.

His goal from the spot in the 19th minute on Tuesday night was his seventh, putting him second in penalty kicks behind only Landon Donovan, who converted 15 of his 57 international goals form the spot. Midfielder Gio Reyna recorded his first international brace on Tuesday while forward Folarin Balogun added a goal.

The win was Gregg Berhalter’s 40th as U.S. coach, becoming the fastest USMNT manager to achieve the feat. Berhalter made three changes to the lineup that faced Germany on Saturday, inserting defenders Miles Robinson and Kristoffer Lund, as well as midfielder Johnny Cardoso.

The U.S. team will be back next month for a pair of Nations League quarterfinals against Trinidad & Tobago in Austin on Nov. 16 and in Trinidad & Tobago on Nov. 20.

The United States U-23 team also picked up a convincing win on Tuesday night with a 4-1 win over Japan in a friendly in Phoenix. That followed a 2-1 win over Mexico last week as they kicked off preparations for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Philadelphia native and former Lighthouse SC, Fishtown AC and Philadelphia SC standout Brandan Craig came off the bench for the second straight game for the U-23s. Former Philadelphia Union striker Paxten Aaronson scored on Tuesday night and current Philadelphia Union midfielder Jack McGlynn had a free kick assist on the fourth goal as a substitute. Philadelphia Union defender Nathan Harriel also subbed into the match.
