Risk Management
Travel, Recreational, and Intramural coaches and managers, and ALL club staff and Board, must complete the Risk Management process in GotSport and be fully compliant. If they do not, they cannot be placed on team rosters or serve the club in any capacity. This includes providing their general information as well as obtaining the necessary U.S. Soccer clearances as well as those required under the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Child Protection Safety Laws.
Mandatory Coach, Manager, and Staff Compliance
Mandatory Compliance consists of six items all coaches, managers and staff need to be cleared to work with the children as part of our risk management efforts.
Coaches, Managers, and Staff if you have any clearances pending approval, please contact your club’s Risk Manager to review and process them.

Background Checks
The state of Pennsylvania requires several background checks for those who will be working with children.
The registration and background screening process will be managed in GotSport, Eastern Pennsylvania’s Membership Management platform. There are various requirements based upon what capacity you’ll be serving in, and how long you’ve been a Pennsylvania resident. For more on each requirement, read below.
SafeSport
Safe Sport must be completed annually. Safe Sport can be completed directly in your GotSport account. Please see this link on how you can complete Safe Sport in your GotSport account.

The courses should be taken as followed:
Year 1: SafeSport Trained – U.S. Soccer Federation
Year 2: Refresher 1
Year 3: Refresher 2
Year 4: Refresher 3
Year 5: SafeSport Trained – U.S. Soccer Federation (the cycle begins again)
Concussion Training
Concussion Training is to be taken annually. You can complete the Concussion training directly in your GotSport Account. Click here for instructions on how to complete the Concussion Training.

To review uploaded clearances, please ensure you carefully examine each document. Confirm that the clearance is valid by checking the date on the uploaded clearance and verifying that it has not expired.
