About The Scholarship

Each year, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer accepts applications from high school juniors, active within Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, for The Union League of Philadelphia’s prestigious Good Citizenship Award. During their senior year, Award winners will be eligible to apply for a college scholarship provided by the Union League worth at least $5,000/year.

Eligibility

The Union League hands out its Good Citizenship Award to as many as 18 Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer boys and girls who demonstrate exemplary qualities of the following:

• Cooperative effort
• Self-control
• Perseverance
• Serious scholarship
• Good Sportsmanship 

How to Apply

Applications must include the following:

(1) Cover sheet (Editable PDF – download and open with Adobe)

(2) Personal statement (1 page)

(3) Letter of recommendation (one letter is sufficient)

(4) Resume (1 page)

a. Academic record (GPA, class rank; SAT/ACT scores if applicable)

b. Extracurricular Activities (Include athletic, music, theatre, student government, etc.)

c. Community service

d. Awards & recognitions

e. Work experience (If applicable)

IMPORTANT: The application shall not exceed five pages in length. Concision is a must.
