Each year Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer honors the coaches, administrators, volunteers and referees who made the most impact during a given season. Anyone can submit a person for consideration for Coach of the Year (Rec and Travel), Administrator of the Year, TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year and Volunteer of the Year.
State winners will then be automatically nominated for the US Youth Soccer East Region Award. The Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association Referee Committee chooses the Young Referees of the Year (Male and Female). Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer also honors distinguished contributors with special awards including Excellence in Coaching, Service to Youth, Service to Community and the D’Anjollel Award, which goes to the club of the year as picked by the Board of Directors. All award winners, including the Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizenship recipients, are honored at the Annual Awards Banquet, held in February of each year.
Administrator of the Year
The Administrator of the Year Award honors the extraordinary accomplishments in administration over a career. The state Administrator of the Year is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February. State winners will be submitted for regional and national consideration. The national Administrator of the Year is announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, as a part of the US Youth Soccer Workshop at the United Soccer Coaches Convention each January.

Volunteer of the Year
The Volunteer of the Year award honors those who are excellent role models for their community. Willingness to promote players and soccer, sound moral and ethical character and increasing the opportunities to participate in soccer are all characteristics of nominees for the Volunteer of the Year award. The state Volunteer of the Year is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February. State winners will be submitted for regional and national consideration. The national Volunteer of the Year is announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, as a part of the US Youth Soccer Workshop at the United Soccer Coaches Convention each January.

Travel Coaches of the Year
The Travel Coach of the Year is awarded to a competitive coach for both a boy’s team and a girl’s team for his or her coaching activities, sportsmanship, player development, personal coaching development and citizenship. The state Boys and Girls Travel Coaches of the Year is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Reception each February. State winners will be submitted for regional and national consideration. The national Competitive Coach of the Year is announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, as a part of the US Youth Soccer Workshop at the United Soccer Coaches Convention each January.

Recreation Coaches of the Year
The Recreation Coach of the Year is awarded to a recreation coach for his or her coaching activities, sportsmanship, player development, personal coaching development and citizenship. Young Referees of the Year
The Young Referee of the Year award honors a young male and female referee active in Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer. Young Referees must be 19 years old or younger and registered with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) as a certified referee. Referees are a vital part of the youth soccer program. Young referees are the future of the program. Many of these young people started out on the field as players and for a variety of reasons, have chosen to give back to their local program by serving as referees. U.S. Youth Soccer created the Young Referee of the Year Award in an effort to recognize the extraordinary effort and talent exhibited by these individuals. The state Youth Referees of the Year are recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February. State winners will be submitted for regional and national consideration. The national Youth Referees of the Year are announced at the US Youth Soccer Awards Gala, as a part of the US Youth Soccer Workshop at the United Soccer Coaches Convention each January.

TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year
The TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year award is awarded for extraordinary accomplishments as a TOPSoccer Buddy. The nominees demonstrate patience, understanding, dependability, flexibility and ability to adjust to ever-changing on-field situations. The Buddy of the Year is also an invaluable volunteer who facilitates the program by filling many roles, including being a coach, cheerleader and role model as well as assisting when needed with administrative responsibilities. Other important qualities of the buddy are engaging players one-on-one, modeling desired behavior and being cognizant of player safety. Buddies assist, guide, direct and teach the game of soccer and its skills while creating a fun learning experience. The state TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year award is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February. State winners will be submitted for regional and national consideration. D’Anjolell Award
The D’Anjolell award is presented to an outstanding Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer club or league. The award recognizes that organization’s contribution to the game and to the youth who play it. All aspects of the organization’s activities are evaluated. These activities include, but are not limited to, the development of both recreational and competitive players through the club’s or league’s dedicated administrators, creative coaching, tournament play, foreign travel, and support of the Olympic Development Program. These qualities and more will all be assessed when selection of the final recipient is made. The D’Anjolell award is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Reception in February.

Mike Barr Excellence in Coaching Award
The Mike Barr Excellence in Coaching Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated a lifetime of dedication to coaching and educating within our youth soccer community. Recipients have served with integrity, honor, humor and humility made extensive and far reaching contributions to the process by which youth soccer players and coaches are taught in Eastern Pennsylvania. The Excellence in Coaching award is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February.

Service to Community Award
The Service to Community Award was introduced by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer in 2014 to recognize the people and organizations whose philanthropy and goodwill has helped our various soccer communities. Service to Youth Award
The Service to Youth award is one of Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer’s most prestigious awards, this honor is awarded to an individual who, over a period of years, has made outstanding contributions to youth and the sport of soccer. The individual must have dedicated their time on and off the field to instilling the principles of good sportsmanship, the development of youth in soccer, and the promotion of soccer with Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer and its leagues and teams. The Service to Youth award is recognized at the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Awards Banquet each February.
