PHILADELPHIA, PA – March 10, 2023 – During the Legends of Soccer Fundraising Gala held this week, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association’s CEO, Chris Branscome, was recognized with the 2023 Legend of Soccer Civic Leadership award for his work in the Philadelphia soccer community.
Chris has been an integral part of shaping community efforts to grow the game of soccer in our region.
The evening also recognized fellow soccer contributors, including Chairman of Philadelphia Soccer 2026, Dan Hilferty and Philadelphia Union Commentator, JP Dellacamera.
“It’s wonderful to be recognized by my colleagues, peers and friends at the Philadelphia Union Foundation and to celebrate our game with so many awesome people,” said Chris in a statement on Friday. “Any award for me is a tribute to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, our staff, and our board past and present. Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania hold a special place in our sport’s history and it’s been a privilege for me to carry on the tradition and hopefully create a love of the game for the next generation.”
The event was held at the Crystal Tea Room and was hosted by Philadelphia Ring of Honor Legend, Sebastien Le Toux and Philadelphia Union announcer, Dave Leno. Attendees were also joined by Philadelphia Union players.
