Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer is ecstatic to announce that Grassroots Soccer Manager JT Dorsey is the recipient of United Soccer Coaches’ prestigious 2024 Black Soccer Coaches Communities Award of Excellence. This honor celebrates individuals and organizations whose contributions have exemplified inclusion, diversity, and a commitment to community in the world of soccer.

Dorsey’s journey has been marked by his deep passion for soccer and an unwavering commitment to creating opportunities for underserved youth. A former professional player in the USL Championship League, Dorsey has used his background and education to turn his love for soccer into a force for positive change.

As the founder and Executive Director of the JT Dorsey Foundation, Dorsey has worked tirelessly to break down barriers in soccer and improve the lives of young people. His dedication to making the sport more accessible and impactful extends to his role with Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer, where he supports youth development throughout the region.

In addition to the Black Soccer Coaches Communities Award of Excellence, he has earned several accolades in recent years, including the 2023 Black Soccer Coaches Local Legend Award, the 2024 Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Service to Community Award, and the 2024 Philadelphia Union Foundation Community Leadership Award.

The Coaches Communities Awards of Excellence will be presented at the 84th annual United Soccer Coaches Convention in Chicago, with Dorsey being honored during the Advocacy Hour Reception on January 10. This recognition highlights Dorsey’s ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse soccer community, both in Pennsylvania and beyond.

Eastern Pennsylvania is proud to celebrate Dorsey’s accomplishments and the positive influence he continues to have on the soccer community. His dedication to empowering the next generation of players ensures that the values of inclusion, health, and education are at the forefront of soccer.
