Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer

Many women shy way from coaching soccer for a variety of reasons, and they don't enroll in coaching courses because they don't want to be in the minority.  

 

Danielle Fagan will be instructing a USSF "E" License Course for Women this December with Erin DeMarco who is the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Bryn Mawr College.  When they took the "B" license course together in 2005 they were 2 of 6 women in a course with 75 men.  So they know what it is like to be in the minority and want to create an environment that encourages current and former female players to learn how to coach.  

 

This is a great course for high school players, college players and recent grads, as well as those women out there who've been away from the game for a while and would like to get back into it as a coach.

The minimum age requirement is 14 and there are no other pre-requisites to enroll in this course.

Course participants will be asked to play during the field sessions, but they don't have to be superstars - just willing to learn! 

 

With the increased numbers of girls participating in youth soccer and having professional and national team players as female role models, it would be great for the girls to have more positive female role models as their soccer coaches too!  We're planning for an amazing turnout for this course as we know there are many females out there who would be great coaches!

COURSE INFORMATION

This is an 18-hour course that takes place over 3 dates and you MUST ATTEND ALL DATES TO RECEIVE THE LICENSE. 12/9/11 | 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm 12/10/11 | 8:30 am – 5:30 pm 12/11/2011 | 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
