1987 Boys Win 2005 US Youth Soccer ODP National Championships
The championship saw Georgia and Eastern Pennsylvania, both teams looking for gold. Neither side was able to control possession, as the match remained scoreless through regulation. “They (Georgia) are a great team and really had us late in the second half,” said Eastern Pennsylvania Head Coach Dave MacWilliams. “We settled down in the overtime and made the most of our opportunity.” Eastern Pennsylvania’s Joseph Taylor almost found his second goal of the weekend on a shot that rebounded out to teammate Lee Kouadio who rifled it home in the 93rd. Keeper, Travis Chalick (PA), would earn his adidas Golden Glove to keep the match at 1:0 after making some standout saves. Eastern Pennsylvania has only allowed one goal all year. Congratulations!!!
