Minutes of the Meeting August 6,
2007 held at the State Office.

Motion made to accept meeting minutes from May and June
with corrections. All approved.
Reports
Executive Vice-President: No report.
Vice President Travel: Jim attended
the Regional Championships in Maine. Jim reported that
the U-15 & U-17 boy’s teams would go on to
Nationals and the U-13 girls won Regionals.
Vice President Recreation: Bob thanked Damon
Nolan for his help on August 3rd and 4th with 2 Kohl’s
Cups held in West Chester. There will be four more Kohl’s
Cups in August. Six leagues so far have declared Sept.
as Youth Soccer Month. All of the information regarding
the Recreational State Cup will be on the website by
September.
Treasurer: Not present.
Registrar: New clubs asking for admission
with all of their paperwork in order. Carbondale YMCA
in District 10 and JCC Kehillah Sunday Soccer League
in District 1 were approved by an on-line vote. Valley
Youth United is re-joining District 10. Starfinder Foundation
in District 1 applied for membership, but was tabled
until we get in more information.
SYRA: Cindy and Frank will attend
the President’s meeting. All the supplies for
the referee courses are not available at this time because
they are changing the print. That means no badges or
books. Some of the courses had to be cancelled. Jeff
will re-schedule courses as best as he can.
Exec. Director’s Report: Charlotte
has a list of everyone who has not turned in there RG-1’s
to date. She is also looking for two lighted fields
to hold ODP tryouts. Lists of those that made the Regional
Pool for boys and girls will be posted on the website.
Norm Weiss, editor of Touchline, has passed away from
a heart attack and will be deeply missed. All of the
resident camps our over, and everything went very well.
“Shop for A Cause” sponsored by Macy’s,
will be held Oct. 13th, please see Charlotte for coupons,
she will give them to you on consignment. The cost of
each coupon is $5.00.
President’s Report: Tom has
three key topics to discuss at the President’s
meeting to be held on August 12th. The Academy Leagues
will have a big impact on Youth Soccer.
Past President’s Report: Rick
said there are two grievance hearings scheduled for
next Wed. and everything else is up to date.
At this time Richard Groff, former EPYSA President,
introduced to us Nick Sakiewicz, and Jim Nevels, who
made a presentation to us about the bid for an MLS Franchise
and a new stadium in West Chester for the 2009 season.
They strongly need the support of the soccer community,
and asked us to write or petition our state legislators.

District Report:
1. Ross-Haney Soccer Tournament scheduled for Aug 31st.
United Junior Soccer Tournament will be held Columbus
Day weekend. Free clinic sponsored by Verizon in conjunction
with Phila. Soccer Club to be held on Sept. 22nd.
2. Mike Gove attended resident camp and had a great
time. Delco Tournament Columbus Day weekend for both
boys and girls.
3. Not present.
4. YMS tournament in Oct. Aug. 15th is the deadline
for registration. They have a new alternate from Hulmeville,
Bill Fuller.
5. Upper Bucks having issues with small number of teams
registered, only 61. No teams over U-14.
6. 3vs3 Aug. 25th & 26th for both boys and girls.
Dave Constant is the new President for Lehigh Valley.
7. Not present.
8. Lanco is gearing up for fall. Registered team numbers
are down a little. College showcase held the last weekend
in July with 170 teams was a huge success. 9 states
and Canada were represented. 90 College coaches attended.

10. Not present.
11. Northeast Travel had elections for office, with
some new officers. They also held EPYSA camps this summer.
12. Not present.
13. They held a referee course in July. They are concerned
about the number of boys teams dropping off for registration,
only 81 teams total, 50 girls and 30 boys.
14. Pags has 550 teams registered and Delco has 406.
Both leagues have schedules posted on the website.

Old Business: None
New Business: Lanco Soccer League
is requesting a rule modification for substitutions.
Motion made by Dave Edgecombe ” to allow substitution
at either teams throw in” Seconded by Wim. All
approved. Effective for fall season.
Good of the Game: Please encourage
your State Legislators to be part of the game, and support
the New Stadium.
