Minutes of the Meeting December
4, 2006, held in York, Pa.
Present: Mark Yocum; Dave Edgecombe;
Dele Olaewe; Damon Nolan; Jerry McDonald; Joe Dizio;Dallas
DiFiore;Jim Kuntz;Bob McDade; Donna Outt; Kim DiFiore;Tom
Dougherty; Charlotte Moran. Also attending some guests
from District 8 & District 17.
Motion made to accept the meeting minutes for November
with corrections, all approved.
Reports
Executive Vice-President: Not present.
Vice President Travel: Jim reported
that the players from the ODP try-outs have been picked
and put into pools. Indoor training for ODP starts Dec.
10th.
Vice President Recreation: They are
trying to develop a tournament for the older age groups,
hopefully toward the end of the fall.
Treasurer: Not Present.
Registrar: Every league and club
has paid their registrations.
SYRA: Not present.
Exec. Director’s Report: Congratulations
to Greg Wilson the Asst. Coach at the University of
California Santa Barbara, on his Division I Men’s
National Championship. Greg was a former Exec. Director
and Coach for EPYSA. The Civility Patch Contest has
had only one patch entry. Charlotte is still looking
for a couple of teams in Indoor State Cups to round
out the groups. Outdoor Cup applications are online.
AGM for March 11th is at 10:00 instead of 9:00. By-law
changes need to be in 45 days in advance. The workshop
will be held Feb. 3rd at USTC. Jeff Tipping, Jay Hoffman,
Steve Swanson, and John Gregg, were asked to be the
guest clinicians. There will be a session on Risk Management.
Please respond if you plan on taking the assignor’s
course.
President’s Report: The Region
I boys ODP coach has resigned, and Jay Hoffman was appointed
to that position. USYSA is going to start a National
Soccer League beginning with the U-16 and U-17 boys
and girls. February is the USYSA Workshop..
District Report:

7. They are planning to have a referee course in the
Meyerstown area starting Feb. 26th. They have a team
that played travel in the fall and wants to play rec.
in the spring. They were told to pull their player passes.
8. Hempfield Fall Classic went well. They ran into some
issues with the fields because of the rain, the local
school districts were able to help out.

14. Delco winter soccer league kicked off with 22 teams.
