Reports

Executive Vice-President: Frank attended the Hampden Girls Festival over Memorial Day Weekend and presented and award in honor of Joe Marhefka.

Vice President Travel: Jim is working on issues regarding age pure players and is hoping to come up with a solution based on the recommendations from several different clubs and leagues.

Vice President Recreation: On May 7th we held the recreation festival, and Kohl's was the sponsor, along with a local sponsor which was Joe DiZio's company Fast Fixin. There were 18 teams that participated. Everyone had a great time with a lot of positive feedback. Special thanks to Mike Doug who was in charge of taking care of the event. Bob also met with the Suburban County Soccer League, who is trying to put together a recreational type festival for the high school age boys. Bob would like to get some feedback from other clubs to see if they would be interested in participating, Bob wants to make sure that we get the word out to everyone that we are not selling personal information in regards to our mailing list. He reminded us that we are only selling to approved bonded mailing houses, and that anyone has the right to remove there name from that list. We should also remind clubs that you do not have to be 100% affiliated with EPYSA, only with USSF. Charlotte added that everything that we have to do as a state association has to be followed by all the associations under USSF. We are not selling e-mail addresses. Discussion followed about possibly choosing a different time of year to hold the rec. festival. Tommy asked that we
go back to the clubs, and find out what time of year would be best for them.

Treasurer: Ned is in New York.

Registrar: Donna reminded everyone that all RG-1's are due July 1st. Donna fielded several questions from the floor about registration issues.

SYRA: The women's clinic scheduled for June 18th has been postponed due to the low number of people registered. Cindy will let us know as soon as she has a new date. At the regional clinic the past weekend, they had 125 attendees. The referees are getting ready to attend the ODP tournament and regionals. There are going to be some new rule changes, but they do not go into effect until Sept. 1, 2005. They start with the new soccer season. The new rules will be on the website.

President's Report: No report. Tommy is planning on attending the next Lehigh Valley Soccer League meeting.

Exec. Director's Report: All of the state cups are over and the results are posted on the website. Everything went very well at Phila. Soccer Club. EPYSA received the U-17 boys wildcard, and are finalist has accepted. All the teams that won in the regional director's league all won there state cups. June cups have started for the older age groups. Just a reminder to everyone that at the regional level, it is unlimited substitution, and U-15 and above have no re-entry in the half. Charlotte reported that US Clubs use 14 players per team to figure up their cost per player on recreational teams. We base our number on 18 players per team. They also charge $4.00 for each player pass. The final number puts us 16 cents ahead of the. Charlotte checked into their insurance coverage. They have the same underwriter ad us. US Clubs has a $100.000 accident limit with a $250.00 deductible. EPYSA has a $300,000 accident limit and $100.00 deductible. Our overall umbrella policy has double the limits as US Clubs, so we have the better insurance coverage. Awhile back, EPYSA, Dauphin County Tech., and Swatara Soccer were being sued by a gentleman. They finally settled out of court. Charlotte presented an application for a new league in Stroudsburg, called the Bling,Bling Soccer League they have both rec. and travel. Motion to accept. All approved.
