Vice President of Recreation - No Report

Treasurer's report given by Ron Taylor. Copies of the report were handed out. Ron stated that
the cash balance drop off was due to the purchase of the Man U tickets. No other questions for Ron, so a motion was made to except the treasurer's report. Motion carried.

SYRA - Cindy handed out report (copy attached). She noted that this was the first time Region I has ever had a female referee of the year chosen. Also, question from District 9 about where and when referees can get their hours for re-certification. Cindy stated local chapter meetings, regular clinics, and sub clinics. She said you could go to any chapter meeting in EPYSA.

Exec. Director - Charlotte stated that the cups were moving along nicely, with finals being held on May 22, & 23. If anyone has any questions they can get in touch with Dave Ash via e-mail, most of the information is up on the website. Kids Kicks for Cancer, we had a decent response, 175 kids participated, and the Leukemia Society seemed very pleased. Every coach's team that participated received a special video. Please have your teams go online and look at the information provided. Rick stated that this was a test market, but that they will be doing this again in the fall, and they are hoping to get more teams to participate. Charlotte said we have some Man-U and AC Milan tickets left, please get in touch with James if you need them.

Kixx night with EPYSA - they gave us a check for $452.00, which was a $1.00 commission for each ticket sold. Also, we received a check form the Women's World Cup for $952.00, which was over and above the money they gave us for all the volunteers and the work.

Vice-Pres. of Recreation - . Bill reported that he would like to hold a couple of meetings in the next few months.

President's Report - Rick said that Cups have been running smoothly except for a couple of instances this past weekend. He would also like to thank Hazleton for hosting the League Select festival, and feels it is still worth having. Rick hopes that those leagues that don't participate will consider taking another look at it. Rick will be on a conference call tonight with all of the Region 1 Presidents to discuss the upcoming budget, and will report back to us via e-mail with any important information regarding that. We had an arbitration committee hearing about a recruiting issue where the coach was suspended for one year. The player was sent an e-mail stating leave your team and come to our team, which was a clear violation. Rick stated that we do have rules about recruiting issues in our by-laws and that this is only the second violation he has seen in the past five years.
