Intramural / Rec League Members

What is an Intramural League?

A league based on a recreation play philosophy with constitution and bylaws, appeals process, registrar, insurance director and officers.  The intramural league collects all registration fees for its players and teams, and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer insurance fees for those playing within its league and pays those fees to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer.  Referees do not have to be USSF certified.  An intramural league is not required to use player passes and rosters for registration, but must supply a list of the players and coaches participating in the intramural league to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer.  Usually an intramural league represents one geographical area.  An intramural league is a direct Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer affiliate.


What is a Recreation League?


A league based on a recreation play philosophy with constitution and bylaws, appeals process, registrar, insurance director and officers.  Teams in a recreational league are from more than one intramural league.  The recreational league collects all registration fees for its players and teams, and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer insurance fees from its teams/clubs and pays those fees to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer.  A recreational league is not required to use player passes and rosters for registration, but must supply a list of the clubs/teams participating in the rec league to Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer.  Referees do not have to be USSF certified.  A recreational league is a direct Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer affiliate.



What is a Recreation Club?

A club/team from an intramural league that participates in a recreational league.  The recreational team/club pays its player and team registration fees and Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer insurance fees to the recreational league.  Recreational clubs have no direct Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer affiliation but are indirectly affiliated through their recreational league.
