General Information

EPYSA will, where possible, offer two levels of competition. The split between competitive levels will be in 4-team increments and will be determined by the Cup Committee after all entries are received. The competition levels will be called:
EPYSA Indoor Cup: "A" Level Cup (highest--most competitive)
EPYSA Indoor Cup: "B" Level Cup
For all age groups, there must be a minimum of four entries to hold a competition in that age.

Coaches must request a competition level. EPYSA will do its best to meet the requests but the Cup Committee will have final authority on placement and all decisions of the Committee are final.

The Cup Committee will automatically place the previous year's Indoor Cup Champion and Finalist (if they apply) in the EPYSA "A" Level Indoor Cup competition. Additionally, if the previous years National Championship Series (NCS) Champion or Finalist applies and is selected they will also be placed in the EPYSA "A" Level Indoor Cup competition.

There will be no seeding in either competition level. Once the competition levels and teams for each level are defined for an age group, a blind draw will be conducted to place teams in the respective brackets.
Complete Indoor Cup rules and regulations, schedules, and directions will be available at the EPYSA website--www.epysa.org.

No select teams will be accepted. Secondary and/or guest players are not allowed.

A team accepted into either 2009 Indoor Cup which does not participate will lose its application fee, be fined according to the fee/fine structure in effect, and all teams from that club will lose the privilege of participating in the next (2010) Indoor Cup.

Every team will be guaranteed three (3) twenty-four (24) minute games. There will be semi-finals and finals in each division of eight (8) or more teams. Individual awards will be presented to first and second place winners.

So that there is no confusion please consider the following when deciding on which competition level to request:
EPYSA Indoor Cup - A Level – this competition is the highest/most competitive level that EPYSA will offer. Teams playing in this level are typically those that play in the National Championship Series (NCS), attend the more competitive tournaments, and generally look for the highest competition.
EPYSA Indoor Cup – B Level – this competition is designed for teams that would enter the outdoor Challenge Cup. These are travel teams that play a regular league schedule in a competitive travel league but may not always be a top finisher in their league.
