It's been quite a year for Downingtown native Zack Steffen. The former West Chester United, FC Delco and Eastern Pennsylvania ODP goalkeeper made his senior U.S. Men's National Team debut in January and has since made a strong claim to the starting position going forward.
He's also starred for Columbus Crew SC. On Tuesday, Steffen, still just 23, was named 2018 Allstate MLS Goalkeeper of the Year after a regular season that saw him collect 10 clean sheets and post a 1.28 goals-against-average. Crew SC are currently in the MLS Eastern Conference Semifinals against New York Red Bulls.
