Scoring Goals for Autism

01:00 PM - 02:30 PM

1 in 88 children is currently diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder, making it more common than childhood cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. Yet, we still don't know why children develop autism or how best to help them. We need answers.
On Sunday, May 5, Autism Science Foundation (ASF) will kick-off its 3rd Annual Scoring Goals for Autism adult soccer tournament at YSC Sports, Wayne. This event will raise money to fund research to find the causes of autism and develop better treatments for children, teens and adults with autism. ASF currently funds research being conducted at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Center for Autism Research, Marcus Autism Center at Emory, and at other leading research centers around the country.
Adult Tournament Registration
The tournament will include a fun, non-competitive skills and drills clinic for children and teens with special needs including autism.  The clinic will take place from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and will be run by TOPSoccer coaches and trained volunteers. The TOPSoccer clinic is designed to bring the fun of soccer to all athletes by encouraging players and building confidence in a friendly and supportive environment. Players and coaches from the Philadelphia Union will be participating in the TOPSoccer clinic!  TOPSoccer players, coaches and buddies will be recognized during the May 18 Union v. Chicago Fire game.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity.  All skill levels are welcome. TOPSoccer players will be registered on a first come first serve basis, with a limit of 80 TOPSoccer participants.
