On April 26, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer will host a fundraiser at the Great American Pub in Conshohocken, with proceeds benefiting three organizations: Chester Upland Youth Soccer, the JT Dorsey Foundation and the Unity Youth League of Philadelphia. We'll profile all three organizations as we approach the event. Read more about The JT Dorsey Foundation below.
About: The JT Dorsey Foundation (JTDF) is a non-profit, youth development organization that provides key services that are lacking, but necessary, in inner city Pennsylvania communities. The JT Dorsey Foundation’s mission is to provide wellness education, physical activity, mentoring, leadership, employment training and a safe space for at-risk children to grow up. The JTDF uses soccer to develop strong moral character, inspire academic excellence and promote community involvement for participants. The JTDF currently offers programs for youth ages 5-19 located in Coatesville, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, Pottstown, and Philadelphia, and runs events such as Street Soccer at the Kipona Festival, the Cedar Cup and the Soccer for Success End of Season Jamboree. More information about the JT Dorsey Foundation can be found at jtdorsey.org, on Facebook, twitter and Instagram.
They Said It...
JT Dorsey, Executive Director, The JT Dorsey Foundation:
"Unfortunately, many children in underserved communities have not been exposed to this amazing game. Some of these children do not have access to mentors and structured after-school programming. It is our goal to fill the most vulnerable times of the day from 3-6 PM with soccer programming that promotes positive social interaction, mentoring, nutrition education and healthy living through playing soccer."

Chris Branscome, Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer:
"It's incredible how much energy The JT Dorsey Foundation puts in to help children all across Eastern Pennsylvania. From Harrisburg to Philadelphia and all their locations in between, JT and his staff promote safe, sustainable programming for youth who may not otherwise get to play soccer. We are proud to support The JT Dorsey Foundation and look forward to following the success of the program in the future.”
